When did it become so difficult to find warm, real leather, simply styled black boots? These hit the mark in a surprisingly lean landscape of choices with a few caveats. One, they run small and even 1 whole size up feels snug. Two, I had to let the boots "rest" half-zipped for 10 minutes before I could complete zipping them up because either they run tight through the calf or my calves are not as average as I thought. But I could eventually zip them and while a bit tight, I trust that over time that will give a little and these will last for years. Just a pinch more of an "elastic" stretch in the back panel would probably solve the calf width variety problem. But, I'm keeping them. Quality leather, perfect height and heel, simple styling for dress up or down, and particularly comfortable footbed.

Looks nice and I wish it fit but it doesn't fit my calves at all. I don't have super wide calves, more muscular than an average English descendant, but amongst the rest of us very middle of the road. Returning.

Overall it's a good purchase. The fur inside is warm and the boots feel soft to wear. It's slippery when you walk on the ice. The fur inside will pull the trousers down when you walk so try to wear smooth leggings instead of jeans. The fur also make the shoes little bit smaller than i expect. However, all of them are not very serious problems for me. I am wearing it almost everyday.
